Photo project where people are moving very quickly their head. Thanks to the flash the situation is freezed and gives these kind of results. I would like to be able to rent a faster equipment to avoid blur, and not have to wait 10 seconds between each shot, the time my old 285HV Vivitar are recharged.

Voici un projet où j’ai demandé à mes sujets de bouger très rapidement la tête. Avec l’éclair du flash l’expression est figée et donne ce typer de résultat. J’aimerais pouvoir louer un équipement plus rapide, pour complètement éviter les flous et surtout de pas avoir à attendre 10 secondes entre chaque prise, le temps que mes vieux Vivitar 285HV se rechargent.

This picture was taken in Hull, Massachussetts, as the previous one. There was young people talking and jumping into the sea. I saw this young guy and asked him to rejump for the picture. I have all the movement from the pier to the water, I like this one for his freezed look.

J’ai pris cette photo à Hull, Massachussetts, en fait pas très loin que la précédente. Il y avait un groupe de jeunes qui discutaient et sautaient dans l’eau. Après avoir vu plongé un jeune à cet endroit, je lui ai demandé si il pouvait le refaire pour des photos. J’ai tout le mouvement de la jetée jusque dans l’eau, mais celle-ci avec cet aspect figé est ma favorite.

Yesterday I was in Toronto to shoot an event we have imagined to celebrate the Rona’s 70th anniversary. Rona is a Canadian hardware and home improvement retailer, so we distributed shovels, rakes and recycle bins.

J’étais hier à Toronto pour photographier un événement que nous avons imaginé pour célébrer les 70 ans de Rona, une chaîne canadienne de magasins de bricolage. Il était distribué pelles, rateaux, balais et bacs de recyclage à Dundas Square.

The second shot of this series.
I made several mistakes on the shoot and that made retouching long and tough. But it ‘s good for next time, now I exactly know what not to do.
I’m going to shoot three or four more visuals next week to finish this project. Thanks a lot for all good comments.

Voici la deuxième de la série.
J’ai fait pas mal d’erreurs lors de la prise de vue qui m’ont rendu la retouche longue et compliquée. Mais c’est bon pour la prochaine fois, je sais exactement quoi ne pas faire.
Je vais d’aileurs pendre trois ou quatre nouveaux visuels la semaine prochaine et finir ce projet. Merci à tous pour vos bons commentaires.

Here is a picture from a series I’m working on. I first took this one this winter. Since this time I had a studio photography course at the Université de Montréal and decided to explore further the idea.
Thank you to Olivier for help and to Guillaume for posing.

Ceci est la première photo d’une série sur laquelle je travaille actuellement. Tout est parti de cette photo prise cet hiver chez moi. Depuis j’ai suivi un cours de photo de studio à l’Université de Montréal et ai décidé de pousser plus loin l’idée.
